Attracting the middle and older age groups with high spending power by providing high quality food using local ingredients.

Encourage community cohesion by creating a community-wide network

It refers to an initiative in Italy to solve the depopulation problem due to the declining birthrate and aging population, especially the "vacant house problem," through the tourism industry.
The idea is to revitalize vacant houses in villages as hotels, and horizontally network (integrate) lodging facilities, restaurants, etc. around a core center with reception functions.
It is sometimes referred to as a "community-wide hotel.

It is a new concept, and its literal translation is "distributed hospitality.
The basic structure is similar to AD, but whereas in AD, facilities are concentrated within a 200m radius of the reception,
OD is distributed over a wider area (roughly a 1km radius), a broad but unified region,
sharing services and providing value to travelers through a unified and continuous concept.

Certification granted by Albergo Di Fuzo International (ADI) to municipalities that plan and promote AD, OD, and seek to sustain and develop the
region.
